FAq's

What different styles of shutters are there?

There are many different types of shutter styles such as Full Height, Tier on Tier, Cafe, Solid, Tracked, Special Shapes & tracked. We also offer special shapes. We have shutters for all types of windows.

 What colours are available?

We have 7 different of Whites and Cream to choose from as well as 12 other painted options including greys and blacks. There are a huge number of stains available as well as custom colours like Farrow and Ball. Our shutters are U.V stabailised so that they will not discolour or warp.

What shutter materials are available?

We offer Faux Wood, Hardwood, Biowood (faux frame with hardwood doors) and Polysilk materials.  Each material has its own distinct features and benefits. We show samples of the different wood types upon survey.

Are there different louvre sizes?

We offer 5 different types of louvre sizes, 47mm, 64mm, 76mm, 89mm and 114mm. We will show you all the different louvre sizes when we survey.

What are the time scales involved?

Your shutters will be manufactured within 10-12 weeks.  We will contact you with an approximate arrival time once 8 – 9 weeks have elapsed.  The lead time may sound like a long time but time goes quickly and our shutters are worth the wait! If you do not wish to wait this long then our UK manufactured products have a lead time lead times of 4 - 8 weeks. Once your shutters arrive we will contact you to book installation at a convenient date/ time.

What happens if I want to go ahead?

Please get in touch with sizes or contact us to arrange a consultation. Once we have surveyed and designed your shutters we then request a 50% deposit.  The 50% balance is paid following installation. Payment can be made by bank transfer, cheque or card.

Warranties and installation? 

A 5 - 10 year manufacturer’s guarantee is provided with our shutters. Your shutters will be carefully installed with a professional finish. We take extra care during the finishing process to ensure that you are happy with the final result.

How do I maintain my shutters?

Interior shutters are very low maintenance and occasionally require a wipe with a feather duster or damp cloth.

What are the options in terms of where the shutter frame is fitted?

We have L frames which are fitted inside the window recess, Z frames which are fitted at the edge of the recess and Deco which are fitted outside of the recess.  Please see below representational images.
